The beast lies awake at 12:03

It's 12:03

I can't sleep

The beast within breathes heavily at night

Tearing me apart but I don't say a peep -

A numbing in my eyes

There's no fight

I've given in

It dies

So softly

A rose wilting in the heat

It's a beautiful death - a beautiful girl

You think there's a chance of revival? You got yourself beat

One petal, day by day, shrivels away

Kiss me one last time

Kiss me to sleep.
